Top 3 Tips for Newly Engaged Couples
First of all congratulations on the start of a brand new journey with the one you love!
Over the next year (or more) you will spend time putting together the details of a wedding day that you feel represents you as a couple. This will be the first event you will attend as husband and wife, and of course there are many decisions to be made beforehand. Here at the Elite Show Band we understand what you are going through. Peter and Nina (owners and lead vocalists of the Elite Show Band) are a married couple and their level of understanding and customer service is unmatched in the industry.
Here are ESB’s top 3 tips for newly engaged couples who are just starting to plan.
Tip #1
Book the vendors you love as soon as possible. This is the most important thing. Most of the best vendors are going to be booked at least a year in advance if not more- so the sooner you can lock in the date with your favorite vendors the better. If you are trying to squeeze in your wedding in a shorter time frame try choosing a friday or sunday wedding (this will actually help your budget greatly as well).
Tip #2
Leave timeline decisions up to the pros. Keep in mind that the companies/pros that you hire do this every weekend. This is their full-time job. Flow is everything when it comes to the feel of an event, messing with the way you and your guests transition throughout the day can impact everything and it can be like a domino effect. The best vendors know how to adjust on the fly and always have a general idea of how long things usually take. So if they suggest something other than your vision- ask them why they would advise against it.
Tip #3
Don’t sweat the small stuff. There are times when the whole family tree gets involved in every wedding decision and that can be very stressful for everyone. Yes- you want to pay attention to all the details and involve family in some decisions. All these things are very important, however don’t let it cloud the meaning of the celebration- which is joining two people and two families together. Find a way to take a deep breath and adjust. Focus on the solution not the problem. Remember- the moments you feel in your heart are going to be the things you will always remember.
We wish you a very happy wedding!
Sincerely,
The Elite Show Band
