Duquesne Club Weddings
Founded in 1873, the Duquesne Club has evolved from a fraternity of prominent industrialists into the finest city club in the country.
Its members, who include leaders in business, industry, finance, education, government, medicine and the arts, cherish the Club because of the personal attention and exceptional service they receive in its historic landmark structure, and the camaraderie they share with their fellow members.
It is also a spectacular downtown Pittsburgh venue for couples who wish to seal their love for one another. This was the case with Ginger and Drew, a beautiful couple with a sincere respect for one another which could be seen through a crowded guest count of 200+ from the opulent dinner room located on the second floor. During their grand entrance family and guests gushed at the beaming duo as they warmly greeted everyone before a multi-course dinner. The entire wedding was dressed to impress by the wonderfully talented wedding planner Shayla Hawkins (SHE) and her fabulous team. The Duquesne Club’s multi-level exclusive building stores elegant nooks including an outdoor / indoor terrace complete with a water fountain. This was the setting for the cocktail hour and guest were treated to upscale jazz provided by The Elite Show Band (trio).
The couple’s first dance was “Forget Me Not” by the Civil Wars and the dancing continued throughout the evening as The Elite Show Band’s 11 piece 5 lead singer ensemble fueled the dance floor with classics to modern day chart topping hits. From the very first moment to the end of the party, everyone could feel something special blooming from the newlyweds, which once again confirmed there is always something unique and special at Duquesne Club Weddings..
