Heinz History Center Weddings

Devoted to the history and heritage of Western Pennsylvania, the History Center (legal name – the Historical Society of Western Pennsylvania) is Pennsylvania’s largest history museum and a proud affiliate of the Smithsonian Institution.

On Saturday July 11th, the History Center was the venue of choice for Riley and Tom’s sensational wedding reception. A room with a view, the grand ballroom located on the 5th floor was elegantly decorated and the guests enjoyed a spectacular sunset view of Pittsburgh’s warm and charming city during the cocktail hour. The coordinating was handled by Divine Celebrations, and the History Center’s outstanding team was on hand to ensure a smooth and flawless timeline which ran exactly to schedule. Cara Bull-Trombold and Maura Minteer are two experts in the event industry and the History Center is lucky to have such caring and responsible individuals leading the team.

The bride and groom entered to thunderous cheers from loving family and friends as The Elite Show Band (a nationally recognized and award winning party band) performed the song “September” by Earth Wind and Fire. The song “Sugar Sugar’ by the Archies was a sweet compliment to the bride and groom’s cake cutting. The father of the bride was proud and sincere as he delivered his welcome speech, and the maid of honor delighted the guests with her toast modeled by David Letterman’s Top 10 list. The sisters of the groom were creative with a rhyming toast that was both clever and funny.

Some memorable moments from the evening were watching the bride and groom being surrounded by their close friends while they all sang the song “Hero” by Enrique Iglesias.  The night concluded with the bride and groom joining The Elite Show Band on stage taking the party to an even higher level, making this Heinz History Center wedding a night to remember!
