Omni William Penn Weddings

History defines elegance in this classic, downtown Pittsburgh hotel. Since opening the doors in 1916, the Omni William Penn Hotel has played a starring role in the city of Pittsburgh, hosting movie stars, politicians, heads of state and leaders of business and industry.

On this beautiful summer Saturday love was in full bloom, as Lee and Luke committed themselves to one another by getting married!  The couple was beaming as they were greeted by family and friends, some of whom made the journey to Pittsburgh from other states.

The reception was in the opulent “Urban Room” on the 17th floor of the Omni William Penn Hotel. With 50 foot ceilings and luxurious decor, the room was dressed to impress even the most stylish of tastes. Wedding planner Ansley Esterline from Bliss Events created a warm, elegant yet chic look which complemented the entire flow of the evening. As guests first entered the room they were greeted by the Elite Show Band (a nationally recognized award winning event band) who provided the musical soundtrack for the party. The bridal party entered while groovin’ to the song “I Got A Feeling” by the Black Eyed Peas, and then the bride and groom took to the dance floor for their first dance as husband and wife, to the current hit song “Thinking Out Loud” by Ed Shereen. The welcome speech given by the Father of the Bride was so moving it had the entire room on their feet, and was also shared with the mother of the bride who spoke from the heart to the visually moved couple. The maid of honor and the best man (also the Father of the groom) gave warm and sincere toasts as well.
While guests were being served their 1st course, the band provided dinner appropriate variety music that even had some guest leave their seats to sneak in a quick dance during dinner. After dinner, the Father/Daughter dance once again brought emotional feelings of love and respect as the bride danced with her dad, simply a beautiful moment. Some memorable moments and details were the bride and groom dolls near the dessert table, lots of selfles, a signature group photo coordinated by the Elite Show Band, and of course having the bride and groom jam with the band on stage for the final song of the evening, simply awesome! This was one 4th of July wedding that had more fireworks inside than out, a truly great Omni William Penn wedding.
